 I own a 1985 998cc mini city E, and i find that whenever i drive in the rain the floor of my car tends to end up soaking wet, but when it is hammering down with rain, water starts to drip in the dash baord.

anyone else had this problem, if so how did you deal with it
or how would you deal with it??

possibly the screen seal is leaking? quite common on the Mini! the best way to deal with it is replace the screen rubber. Not expensive and pretty easy to replace yourself. Just check it is the seal first though...get some one with a hose pipe outside and see if you can locate where it's entering the car.

When I first got my 73 mini mkIII I just had to wash it.  That was a mistake the rubber seals around the windows were not waterproof so I had inside water. Now she is given a sponge bath, no more hoses. If the weather is even looking like rain she stays in the garage! I hope to replace the seals some day.  Do you know where the water is coming in on yours?
