    How go about adding transmission oil to the pan

    Hello!My name is Mel and i need some advice please.I had to replace the front drive shaft and resealed the transmission pan.I have figured mostley everything out expect how to add the oil to the transmission pan.I really need the advice of someone that knows how to do this procedure.PLEASE if anyone has a suggestion.     What about filling it through the transmission dipstick tube? Most autos are filled that way.

    Hi Mel,to fill your series 2 transmission there is a plug on the side of the pan[no dipstick they are supposed to be"life time filled"].The engine and trans. have to be cold,even warm to the touch is to hot,with the engine running trans in neutral pull the plug and fill until the fluid just starts to pour out.You will need some kind of pump to fill the fluid and if you open the plug or try to fill it when not running fluid willpour out and not be properly filled.It's a lot like filling a differential but engine running and cold are very important.Hope this helps,John
