I have a 61 bugeye that runs fine for about 8-12 miles. Once it gets fully warmed up it starts to loose power then just sputters and shuts off. I changed the coil and switched it over from points to electronic ignition. That seemd to help for a bit them the same thing happened. If you let it cool off it will start again and run OK for a while until it gets warmed up again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you've changed everything about the ignition system and this still happens, and happens the same way, you may need to check the fuel delivery the next time it happens. Also, sometimes, when an old distributor cap or rotor gets hot, it will start acting up in this manner. It's just a chance, but it's worth consideration.

I checked the fuel system and everything seems OK. I will try changing the cap and rotor. Do you think it would be worth also changing the plug wires at this time?

Make sure the gas cap vent is not clogged. Sounds about as far as I used to get when my cap vent was clogged.

Have the same problem with 64 MG Midget adjusted the condenser . This help a lot, try this?
