Hello all,

New to MML just today - picked up what I believe to be a 67 Sprite this morning - am so thrilled!  I had a '68 back in high school and have missed it ever since - now I have a new toy and have already begun the restoration but cannot locate the VIN # -- unfortunately, the seller "lost" the title (but i did have him sign every possible DMV form available just shy of giving me a DNA sample!  haha!).

Any help would be truly appreciated.

Standing in front of the car look open the bonnet and look down on the frame rail in the engine compartment. There should be a tag there, moss also shows a good pic and location chart in their manuals. Nick

Thanks for the reply Nick -- fortunately for me, the engine and tranny are removed at this time -- I actually crawled all over the engine compartment last night and couldn't find anything, including both sides of the frame -- i can't imagine where else to look or what the heck happened to the tag.

 I fortunatly have a friend who works at our local Police Dept -- since i have the last registered license plate, he's going to run a history on that license plate and with any luck, i suppose i'll get the VIN from the last time it was registered.

In the meantime, i did order a catalog from MML - need to also buy some restoration manual(s) on this thing too -- there are so many different books out there, any suggestions as to one manual over another?
