    I have a 1957 Triumph TR-3 with a Lucas 40480A distributor.  I order Moss part number 152-220 (Lucas DTB150) points and condensor.  When I install the points and set the gap the adjustment screw is against the end of the slot in the base plate.  The point base goes over the inner lip of the distributor base. Even then I just barely make the 0.015 gap.  My question is am I using the correct point set.

    I'm not familiar with your distributor number 40480A. My TR4 has the 25D model. Cars as old as ours may have had a different distributor installed. Can you check with the Moss Technician to see if yours is the correct model? The Roadster Factory will also help with this if you call or email them.
