    MGB cam transforms lawnmower performance.

Wish I had a pic of this. but I found the necessary parts to fit an inexpensive (free) used MGB cam to my Sears lawnmower for an instant performance boost. The cam fit perfectly between the wheels with no modifications necessary and was ready to go within 5 minutes of locating parts Timing is not critical. Running is much improved and much less time is spent idling. Breathing is unaffected despite the extra weight...

Tie cam to front of mower to prevent tipping and spillage of cuttings whilst dragging backwards over lawn... otherwise unit inoperable.

Great performance tip Ed! Do you need a Kent or Crower cam or will the original MOWOG part suffice to get the same performance gains? Wink

    Hey Ed,

Don't forget to use some cam break-in lube, or you'll lose all you've gained!!

It was rather late for this particular cam, which had already taken it "on the lobe". Luckily, it's job is to ensure reduced lift (of the lawnmower) ;-)

I would also not rule out use of a Triumph cam, if available.

Stay tuned for my special tuning package for racing lawnmowers.
