My best guess is that it is a 1965 motor , starts easly idles but then when I accelerate it pops, backfires, spits gas out of carbs.
This car sat for 6 to 8 years on an empty lot. First thing I did once I got it is to change the oil, the plugs. the points, the cap, the rotor, the wires, I also rebuilt the carburators. The timing and lifters were adjusted at a shop. The compression tested good as well.
That is where I am stuck at right now, so if you can be of anyhelp I would surely appreciated.
