This SHOULD be the last thread of this series (hopefully).
I followed all of motorbill's suggestions and NOW have a working 1968 Austin Healey Sprite MKIV!
I ran it up to temp and then "walked away". When I returned, I retorqued the head, adjusted the valves, checked for leaks (none), and changed the oil & filter. Then I started her and tuned the carbies.
Today, It took her out for a 30 mile trip which took me on the highway for a bit. Everything was fine, and the power was all of them 63 horses!
So all in all, I think I'm done with the corrective maintenance part, now it's on to other stuff (radio, front end alignment, etc..).
A huge thanks to all of you whom have helped me to get to this point! Your input has been so valuable that words cannot express my gratitude!!!!
