Dear Jaguar's proud owners,
We are restoring a CREAM/OLD ENGLISH WHITE XK150DHC 1958 with RED INTERIORS .
Looking at the Forum home page we saw the photo of a beautiful OEW with BORDEAUX SOFT TOP and we would like to remake our XK SOFT TOP with the same colour too. Searching in Porter's "Original Restores Guide" and other books we found only information about Blue, Black and Fawn choices.
Our problem is to PROVE that Bordeaux Soft tops were ORIGINALLY FITTED at that period at least as special equipment or customer's request.
Our goal is to restore our car as "original" is possible in order to obtain the Original Historical Certificate and FIVA certificate so we need any possible photos, documents , information and certificate that can PROVE that bordeaux soft top can be adopted on a CREAM XK150
If WWK 468 lucky owner could kindly contact us to give us suggestions and his restoring experience about the right way to trim, saw and put any clip, zip etc. on the soft top is very welcome!
Thank you to everyone can help us!
Alex and Aza
