I am trying to adjust the crankshaft end float. Using new standard thrust washers, I obtain a float larger than the recommended
0.006 “ by about 0.003”.
The Moss catalogue lists the following washer sets:
- THRUST WASHER SET, std (0.0925")
- THRUST WASHER SET, 0.005"
- THRUST WASHER SET, 0.0075"
- THRUST WASHER SET, 0.015"
I suppose that the first figure of 0.0925” is the thickness of one
washer, even though I measure 0.083”. What means 0.005”, 0.0075” and
0.015”? Is this value the extra thickness obtained by using these
washer sets?
What washer set should I use?
Thank you for your advice.
