    Wire Wheel Spokes

The spokes supplied by Moss for my TC wheels are about 1/4" too long, so I shall have the extend the threading and then cut them to size.

Does anyone know the thread size? From my measurements it could be either 3/16 BSF or even 2BA.

I have a 3/16 tap but it does not spin smoothly on the existing thread.

Henry. I'm pretty sure that the threads are 2BA. Sorry, I don't have a die here to confirm that.

    Re: Wire Wheel Spokes

Actually they turn out to be metric, M5x0.8 to be exact. In a case of non-lateral thinking I didn't even consider metric at first, reasoning that an English car couldn't be so frenchified!

Further to the original problem. Only the long spokes are too long. The short ones fit just fine.
