    Front Valance

    Hi,

I have a 1972 chrome bumper Midget. I am trying to remove the front valance and am not quite sure which bolts to undo. I would appreciate some help!

So far, I have undone the two screws joining the radiator cover (the bit with the sticker saying don't open when hot) to the grille assembly, the 6 bolts inside (three on either side) and the bolts joining the wings to the front part.

What else do I need to do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Wheatley-

This was a lo-o-o-o-ng time ago for me but I vaguely remember there being two bolts on each side of the radiator supports and that you need to disconnect the hood release. I'm curious to see if I'm right!

    Hi LCJUTILA,

You were right! There are two bolts either side of the radiator support that need removing. I did also need to undo the bonnet release cable. There are also four bolts attaching the valance to the chassis rails. These can only be got at by a) removing radiator and reaching inside or b) removing grille.

    Thanks again.
