    Wheel Chock Locks

I just spotted this Wheel Chock Lock on Toolmonger at http://toolmonger.com/2009/09/16/give-your-trailer-the-boot/. It seems to me that it would be one of the more capable security options for our old cars. Anyone got any experience with these? Other than being on the receiving end or one.

Dave - You already have the best anti theft device there is built right into your car - the fly off hand brake.  I have yet to find anyone who has not drive the T series cars or the MGA, who can release (much less set) that hand brake.

    Cheers,

Amen to that!  I took the TD in for an alignment after rebuilding the front suspension.  The entire 10-man crew at a very good shop had literally spent an hour trying to release the handbrake, finally using a floor jack to roll the car on to the alignment rack.  After that, anyone I have working on the car gets the briefing on how to start it and using the handbrake.  Beer

And those having difficulty releasing the parking brake would include my son who I'm now teaching how to drive a clutch.
