    1971 mg midget front hub

When I removed left side hub, inner bearing was shot and the bearing spacer fell out.I took the rt side off and removed inner bearing from hub and there was no spacer! Which side is correct? Did someone at one time forget to put in bearing spacer when replacing bearings on the right side? thanks for any help.

    howie,

There should be a spacer, with the correct shims, on each side. Do you have a manual? You need to follow the correct procerure for replacement, adjustment, and lubrication if you want these bearings to last.
