    tr7 v6 conversion

I installed a buick 252 v6 and 200r4 trans recently in my 1980 tr7, it got a edelbrock cam, 4 bbl carb and performer intake, has anyone out there done this and if they have ,did you experience any rear axle problems, My car runs sweet, can't complain about heavy steering. I want to use this more often but have concerns about a weak axle. I'llpost some pics soon, its painted ROSSO FIORONO red , a ferrari color with all new interior, I would like to chat with other members who share the Hybrid experience, this is my third conversion, but one was stolen ands the other lost in divorce before I had any real time with them

Welcome to the Dark Side! I think you'll find lots of information and friendly faces at the British V8 Newsletter Forum. Don't let the name mislead you, we welcom V6s as well. http://www.britishv8.org/index.htm  There are a couple of TR7s with V6s around, one shown in the photo section and another under construction and renovation covered on the Forum's TR area.

If you're asking about THIS forum, you need to host your pics on a hosting site (Flikr, etc) or put them up on your gallery here. (Go to Gallery, click on "All Galleries", find your screen name, that's your Gallery.)

    Re: tr7 v6 conversion

the conversion and in many cases do not make a significant improvement to performance. The alternative to the above is the DIY approach which most people favour. This can be done in two ways -either accumulating all the parts over a short period of time and spending a great deal of money very quickly (not something many of us are able to do!) thus completing the job in possibly two/three weeks -or carry out the conversion in stages. It is this latter approach that I will be concentrating on. this is according to my research and about Buick TSB.
