    DCOE 45 to 40

We put together my sons Mini Cooper with 276 cam, 1.5 roller rockers, header and it runs strong with a 45 DCOE (32 mm venturi, idle 50F11, 145 gas, F16 ET and 175 air). I would like to try a 40 DCOE with 32 mm venturis. Any suggestions as to what jets to use so I can save some time?

    Alfonso-

Hard to believe but true, the 40mm weber w/ 32mm choke actually flows very slightly more air than the 45mm w/ 32mm choke .

At 1.5 inches Mercury the 40 flows about 168 cfm/min while the 45 flows about 162 cfm/min.per barrel. This is due to the closer matching of bore size to choke size on the smaller carb. The air has more of a straight shot  so there is less turbulence in the venturi.

S0 the bottom line is your current jetting should transfer over and be very close to correct, in my thinking

    Good Luck!

Thank you. I'll get back to the Mini as soon as I get over the flu. Will let you know how it came out.

    Regards,
