    Wood Dash

I am new to this forum.  I look forward to sharing information.  I am restoring a 1980 Spit to original condition.  The wood dash is split and I was planning to apply a new veneer.  Does anyone know for sure if it is walnut?  If not, what kind of wood is it?  It appears to be teak to me.  Also, does anyone know what stain was used?  It appears to be maple stain.  Thanks, DrA

If it's like the TR6 it's a  sheet of veneer over plywood. If you google "veneer" you'll come up with products like this:

Thanks Poolboy!  That is precisely what I did and teak seems to be the best match for the existing wood pattern.  I know that I am being OCD about this but I just wanted to be sure.  You have been a great help.  Cheers, DrA.
