Hi

I would like to know if fitting a stage one tuning kit onto a 998cc mini is worth it the one I am looking at is the moss stage one kit with the RC40 exhaust.I would like to know whether it is worth fitting it and how easy it is to fit. It also says that it comes with a cerb needle and spring could you tell me what these parts do in a carb and if i would need specalist tools to fit them.

The stage one kit is a really good upgrade for the 998cc minis...doesn't give a huge increase in BHP but does give a greatly improved torque curve! so when you hit those hills your not instantly changing down a gear! make the car more responsive as well. Also if you change the engine at any point to a 1275cc unit the kit will fit that as well...just need to change the needle and spring! I put the new needle & springs in our kits because it's need to get the fueling correct! a lot of company's don't supply these with their kits and the frustrated customer usually ends up on the phone to me to explain the problems they are having!
