I have just got a Facet silver top fuel pump and I am thinkig of fitting it inside the car under the back seat. The instructions say it should be fitted in a vertical position within 24 inches of the bottom of the fuel tank with the outlet port at the top. What I am thinking is when I run the outlet fuel pipe to the carb I will have to run it lower than the inlet. Does anyone know if this is a problem.

I'll tell you what I think is a problem. Fitting any part whatsoever of a fuel system inside the car. No manufacturer does it, and to my knowledge, no racecar sanctioning body will allow it either. There is good reason for it. Need I explain?

Well said that man...dude please don't fit it inside the car...here's where I have mine if it helps...

 

  And the Battery has now left the boot area!
