    Wood Load Floor Van

Hello to all, my first post here,

I've been working on a 1969 Mini Van that has the wood load floor. The typical Van has a continuous metal load floor. The wood load floor has plywood "hatches" over a spare tire and back seat wells. This Van was for export only, not sold in the UK for tax reasons.

I'd like to know how many Vans like this exist in the US, or in the world for that matter.

Chime in if you've got one!

    Thanks, Don

    Re: Wood Load Floor Van

Finally, in my 51 (or is it 52?) years of being, I get a feeling of smugness. Who needs a Cooper S? I've got a Wood Load Floor Van! Smug being an interesting word I decide to look it up in Webster's. Smug adj. so pleased with oneself as to be annoying to others; too self-satisfied.

Well, leaving the "self satisfaction" part out of the equation, I'm really just trying to piece together yet another part of Mini history. Not looking to retire on the Van's rarity.

Any OZ or NZ or South Africa or South America owners out there?
