Have a 60 TR-3 now equiped with Stromberg carbs. Can someone give me a hand on what it will take to convert to HS=6"s
Who would have thought this would be tougher than building an antique harley?

    Satch,

It will probably help those more technical than me if you can give them the engine block number and a few other details for your answer. I know that I was originally considering making this switch on my car too, but for now I think I will leave the engine alone while it is running okay, and wait until I decide to find an authentic block before making this change to the car.

    Re: TR-3

Have a 1954 TR2 with a TR4 power-plant [the way it came - wrecked] and did a frame up rebuild, installed HS6s... not a problem and I'm using the long neck intake manifold for added velocity. Got the HS6s at a junk yard, traded the Strombergs and a couple $ - got the rebuild kits from MM. Soon as I can figure out how to post images I'll try to select a few that will show you the layout. Oh, did needto crush the fwd air-cleaned a bit to clear the fendor but only a wee bit. See if that image can go on now... look at the bottom of the photo album.
