Just a heads up if anyone else is considering overhauling their own water pumps.If you attempt to press out the old shaft the impeller will crumble and fail. Don't worry this is normal as the impeller will be corroded solid. The kit comes with a new shaft complete with bearing, seal , spring, and new impeller. After doing the job twice I discovered the impeller was of a shallower dimension than the orriginal and therefore had to be pressed further onto the shaft or the spring loaded carbon seal will not load up properly to prevent the pump from leaking.(Which is probably the reason you are there in the first place) Incidently, a rebuild kit was about $ 50 while a pump was $ 200,
