    I have a 1983 xj6 after replacing the engine i discovered a hose that comes off the transmission I beleive says its a breather hose and that is all they say it conects to a rubber hose (from trans) to a metal line that is S shaped cant find where to connect the other end of S shaped metal line.  any help would be appreciated

    would it go to the transmission oil cooler? (very small radiator in front of a/c condenser) I have a 1984 but nothing like an S shaped metal line that I am aware of. Where are you getting the info. from? The Shop Manual?

    yes both trans cooler lines are connected.  This is why I cant figure it out it is curved down and then back oover trans
