It's Official! Recently, Moss Motors and Classic Motorsports gave enthusiasts an opportunity to win a FREE Supercharger. More than 9000 British car fans entered and we are happy to announce that the winner is Dave Hinman of Novi, Michigan.
Hinman chose Moss’ Supercharger for the 1275cc MG Midget and Austin-Healey Sprite. However, he doesn’t intend to put it in either of BMC’s beloved badge-engineered budget sports cars. Instead, Dave plans to add the blower to his current restoration project, a 1962 Lotus 7 powered by the 1275 motor.
The Lotus has considerable racing history and is still set up much as it was on its last track outing. “It just doesn’t have the numbers on it,” Dave says. Still, he’s willing sacrifice a little historical value for a lot of extra power.
“It’s neat,” he said. “I’m just pulling the car back together, and I’m sure it’ll be more enjoyable—more playful.”
Teaming up with Moss Motors, the largest supplier of parts for classic British cars, was a natural for Classic Motorsports, the leading magazine in America for fans of those cars.
